Raye Vincent

Raye Vincent, 76, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Dalhart, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 8, 2008 at Channing First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Miller, pastor of the church officiating, assisted by Rev. Bob McAlester of Dalhart. Burial will be in Channing Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Raye Vincent was born January 8, 1932 in Margaret, Texas to Clyde and Bessie Knight. In 1955 she married Robert Vincent at Dalhart, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of Channing First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Hurtis Knight. Survivors include; daughters, Rita Whatley and husband, Gary of Channing, Pat Shafer and husband Danny of Boys Ranch; sons, Richard Vincent and wife, Dale of Channing, Robert Vincent and wife, Rhonda of Dumas; brother, Don Knight of Midland; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cal Farleys Boys Ranch and Girls Town, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79105. The family will be at 406 Denver in Channing.
