Rex Eugene Pinkerton, 57, of Plainview, passed away on January 28, 2021.
Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Seth Ward Baptist Church, Plainview, Texas there will be a meal for family and anyone welcome!
Rex was born on December 14, 1963 in Lockney, Texas to Ruby Polk Pinkerton. She married Ward Pinkerton on June 25, 1967 and Rex was adopted by Ward shortly after. Rex loved country music and was a truck driver for many years. He loved his morning coffee. When he was younger, he loved to go fishing with his family. Rex was a devoted Christian and loved God and talking about him to others. He was a kind and loving person and always knew how to make someone smile. He lived in Hale County most of his life but moved to Dumas, Texas in 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, one brother, Bill Pinkerton, and uncles, David Polk and Donald Sprague
Rex is survived by his daughter Jewellee LShea Pinkerton and son Branden Ray Pinkerton both of Plainview, Texas. One brother, Kit Pinkerton of Dumas, Texas, Three sisters, Sylvia Pinkerton Harmon of Claude, Texas, Gladys Pinkerton Whisenhunt and husband, Keith Whisenhunt of Azle, Texas, and Rhonda Pinkerton of Fort Worth, Texas. One aunt, Kathy Henderson and husband Mike Henderson of Plainview, TX, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
