Richard E Hall

Richard E. Hall, 83 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matt Price, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock in the evening on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Richard was born on January 28, 1940 in Garden Grove, IA to Chester and Bernice (Eastin) Hall. He grew up in Garden Grove and graduated from high school in 1958.  He married Virginia Clifton on January 20, 1960 and she preceded him in death in 1973.  He later married Mary Cox on December 21, 1973; she also preceded him in death in 2019.  Richard moved to Dumas in 1967 to work for Diamond Shamrock where he retired from after 35 years of service.  Richard loved motorsports, especially drag racing.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wives; he was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Ellen Schollenbarger; grandson, Brenden Lloyd Hall; daughter: Beverly Kaye (Hall) Bennett 1995.

Richard is survived by his children: Richard D. Hall and wife Nelta of Dumas, TX, Terri Hall and Denise Babeaux of Visalia, CA, John Hall and wife Beth of Cleburne, TX, Ginger Murnahan and husband Carl of Waco, TX, Susan Morris and Robert Morris of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Melanie Lopez, Keirstin Bennett, Jordan Morris, Bevany Haire, Meili Hall, Kaili Hall, Julie Hall, Kaylee Morris, Rachel Annandale, Mathew Daffern, Rebecca Hays; sister: Marge Dupus and husband Bob of Belten, MO; brother: Tommy Hall of Fritch, TX; faithful companion: LeRoy.
