Richard "Rick" Earl Ladner, 71 of Dumas, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 15, 2020. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Fort Worth, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson-Morrison Funeral Directors.
Richard was born in Gulf Port, Mississippi on February 26, 1949 to Harold Charles and Patricia (Baker) Ladner. After moving to Ft. Worth, he would graduate from Azle High School. He worked as a buyer for Tarrant County Regional Water District and retired from there. He married Patricia Earl on June 11, 1971 at Eagle Mountain Baptist in Ft. Worth, TX. They would raise their family in Ft. Worth and he was a strong influence in his familys life. Richard never missed an event his daughter or grandchildren were involved in. His family always came first, after his love for God and church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days and wanted to pass this on to his grandchildren. When his family needed him, he was always there. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Kay Mobley.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of the home; daughter: Brandi Fortson and husband Robert of Sunray, TX; grandson: Garrett Fortson and wife Taylor of Dumas, TX; a granddaughter: Kylie Fortson of Sunray, TX; a brother: Rusty Ladner and wife Sandra of Azle, TX; a sister -in -law: Nancy Jacobs of Ft. Worth, TX; and many numerous nieces and nephews.
