Robbie Joan McGaughy

Mrs. Robbie Joan (Cowart) McGaughy, 78 of Farmer's Branch, departed this world on October 7, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Robbie entered this life on April 21, 1938 in Breckenridge TX. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Franklin McGaughy Jr. on January 17, 1959; he preceded her in death in 2012 after 53 years of marriage. Robbie was a dedicated mother of four and grandmother to eight grandchildren. She was passionate about taking care of her family-cooking large family meals, creating fun, special holidays, Bama football, and telling people about Jesus. She was always available to her family and no one prayed more than or as hard as Robbie Joan. Her beloved Bible was always by her side, she loved her Savior more than anything. Her faithfulness ever steady and constantly growing. Robbie is survived by her brothers: Keith Cowart and Sandy Cowart; sister Jerry Boutwell and family; her children: Jay McGaughy and wife Jami, Carrie Clement and husband Jeff, Mark McGaughy and wife Christi and Leah McGaughy; grandchildren: Jessie Brown and husband Will, Hannah McGaughy, Audrey Jarvis and husband Matthew, Torri Pounds, Tukker Clement, Jacob McGaughy, Brenna McGaughy and Braydn McGaughy.
