Robert L. Rice

Robert L. Bob Rice, 62, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Marshall Ford, pastor of Grace Fellowship, in Borger, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Robert L. Bob Rice was born August 12, 1947 in Dumas Texas to Robert and Margie Rice, Sr. On December 27, 1983 he married Sally Garner in Dumas. He worked hanging drywall and was a painter until his retirement. His hobbies were playing pool, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Bob had a gift of making friends and made many friends during his lifes journey. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifetime resident of Dumas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Delmar F. Rice. Survivors include; his wife, Sally of the home; daughter, Carrie Davis and husband Mike of Borger; sons, Brad Rice of Amarillo, Jake Rice and wife, Jolene of Great Falls, MT; step-son, Chuck Fritts and wife, Teresa of Kennesaw, GA; step-brother, Bo Cook of Dumas; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, and TX 79029. The family will be at 1001 Bruce in Dumas.
