Robert Paul Slagle, 64 of Amarillo, formerly of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Roger Hubbard of Lake Tanglewood, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Robert was born on June 4, 1950 in Friona, TX to Roy Tilden and Hattie Louise Skeet Slagle. He was a longtime resident of Dumas and worked at Valero until he retired after 28 years. Robert honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most especially his English Bulldogs. He loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren he cherished every moment he spent with them. His friends and family will dearly miss Robert.
He is preceded in death by his parents a brother: Roy Tilden Slagle III a sister: Audrey Thomas and a soninlaw: Chris Turner.
Robert is survived by two daughters: Andrea Turner, Jennifer Winchester and husband Fred all of Amarillo, TX six grandchildren: Drew Ford of Amarillo, TX, Clay Slagle of Lubbock, TX, Tucker Turner of Stratford, TX, Tiffany Turner of Lingle, WY, Marley and Joey Winchester both of Amarillo, TX a greatgranddaughter: Harmony Slagle of Dumas, TX and numerous nieces and nephews
