Roberto Llamas, 62 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o\x92clock in the morning on Monday, April 27, 2015 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gregory Bunyan as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6 o\x92clock in the evening on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Roberto was born February 18, 1953 in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Teodoro and Andrea (Rodriguez) Llamas. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1990 and worked at Swift for many years. Roberto was a hardworking man who enjoyed fixing cars, do-it-yourself projects, home improvement, as well as an occasional Mexican baile. He was dearly loved by his children and grandchildren. Roberto was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and beloved dog, Lobo.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Maria Anita Llamas.
Roberto is survived by four daughters: Alicia Margarita Llamas Gamez of Rio Verde, SLP, Mexico, Angelica Espino of Dumas, Mary McCarty of San Antonio, and Lucy Llamas of Denver, CO; three sons: Roberto Llamas Gamez of Rio Verde, SLP, Mexico, Tommy Llamas of Dumas, and Isaac Llamas of Amarillo; two sisters: Virginia Llamas and Irene Llamas; one brother: Silvestre Llamas; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
