Ronnie Hoyt Burkett

Ronnie Hoyt Burkett, 59, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Dumas Cemetery with Brent Clark, family friend officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Ronnie Hoyt Burkett was born January 17, 1951 in Dumas, Texas to Paulus and Joetta Joy Burkett. He was a Dumas High School graduate. He retired from the City of Dumas sanitation department after 27 years. Ronnie had been a resident of Dumas since 1966 and was a member of First Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors includehis daughter, Crystal Burkett his brother, Kenneth P. Burkett and wife Sandra of Pampa nieces, Lisa Smith and husband Kirk and Julie Raybon and husband Kevin. The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15186, Austin, TX 78761.
