Rosie Lee Braswell Palmer, 74 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Widener, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 until 5:00 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Rosie was born on March 26, 1942 in Chilton, TX to Ed and Mary (Bone) Braswell. She was united in marriage to Bobby Braswell on September 2, 1960 in Clayton, NM; he preceded her in death in 1989. Later she married Gerald Palmer who also preceded her in death in 2006. Rosie had been a member of the community for over 50 years. She loved to travel and was very good at crocheting. Rosie worked as a Dietician for the Moore County Hospital District and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Dumas, TX. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
In addition to her husbands, Rosie was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Rosie is survived by her sons: Jack Braswell and wife Kelly of Dumas; Bobby Joe Braswell and wife Karen of Guymon, OK; brother: Nick Braswell of Chilton, TX; grandchildren: Kassi McDaniel and husband Joseph of Cheyenne, OK, Misty Bates of Dallas, TX, Karrisa Chastain and husband Derek of Longview, TX, Kalli Nave and husband Easton of Keys, OK, Brandi Rowlan and husband Jared of Hooker, OK, Bobby Aaron Braswell of Amarillo, TX, Nathaniel Tidwell of Abilene, TX, Ashleigh Tidwell of Canyon, TX, McQuad Tidwell of Dumas, TX; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
The family suggests memorials be made to Bible Baptist Church Youth Fund, 222 W. 1st Street, Dumas, TX 79029.
