Roulen "Rudy" Garcia

Roulen “Rudy” Garcia, 69 of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 in the morning on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Amarillo with Father Guadalupe Mayorga as celebrant. Mass will follow at 10 o’clock in the morning. Interment will be at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison ~ Funeral Directors.

Roulen Rudy Garcia as born on May 21, 1954 to Guadalupe Garcia and Dementria Bueno in San Antonio, TX. He married Mary Valverde on September 1, 1973 in Dumas, TX. Rudy worked for Diamond Shamrock for 26 years until his retirement. He was involved with several organizations throughout the community such as Cursillos de Amarillo, Hispanic Lions Club, Lulac Hispanic Org., KDDD Radio Station. Rudy was also member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed vacations, baseball and running races with his grandchildren. Rudy was a true example of family man, a man of faith and honor. His lesson to his family was live life and enjoy. Rudy loved his wife dearly. He will be forever loved and missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Yolanda, Primo, Guadalupe, Celso, and Olga.

Rudy is survived by his beloved wife, Mary of the home; children: Sally Garcia Celes, Cindy Garcia, Eric Rudy Garcia, Diana Garcia Aranda; grandchildren.
