Roy Carbajal, Sr. 74 formerly of Dumas passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with David Carbajal, officiating. Cremation will follow. He will be available for viewing on Friday from 12 o’clock in the afternoon to 8 o’clock in the evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Roy was born on September 16, 1950, in Mexico to Esteban and Maria Luz (Torres) Carbajal. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1967. After moving to Dumas, he went to work for Carbon Black and later went to work for American Beef for 25 years. He also worked as a handyman, worked for Flores Trucking and most recently did landscaping for churches. Roy enjoyed going to flea markets, car shows and enjoyed the zoo. He also enjoyed photography and most recently TikTok. He was of Christian Faith. Roy will always be remembered as a great son, brother, and a wonderful dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Jimmy Carbajal; brothers: Francisco, Israel, Paul, Steve; sister: Rachel.
Roy is survived by his children: Roy Carbajal, Jr. and wife Amy of Tulia, TX, Linda Carbajal of San Antonio, TX, J.D. Carbajal of Dumas, TX; siblings: Saul Carbajal, Mary Hilario Flores, Martha Kiskaden, David Carbajal, Isaac Carbajal, Becky Trekell, Sammy Carbajal, Dina Carbajal, Christina Carbajal; grandchildren: Rogelio Carbajal, Jr., Star Carbajal, Jimmy Carbajal, Rueben Rios, Jr., June Rios, Joey Rios, Snow Rios, Serena Rios, Dezaray Carbajal, Santiago Carbajal, Edmond Carbajal, Abraham Carbajal, Noel Carbajal, Angelo Carbajal; 12 great-grandchildren.
