Roy Schollenbarger

Roy Schollenbarger -64 passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 11, 2008 at First Street Church of Christ with Art Lynch, minister of the church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery, Stallwitz Addition. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Roy Schollenbarger was born September 20, 1943 in Ashland, Kansas to Roy and Evelyn Schollenbarger. He graduated from Hugoton Kansas High School. On July 23, 1964 he married Ellen Hall in Liberal, Kansas. He worked for Dumas Implement Co. for 17 years. He then worked for Diamond Shamrock as a pumper until his retirement. His hobbies were old Roadsters and scooters. Roy had been a resident of Dumas since 1967. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include; his wife, Ellen of the home; daughters, Cindy Bodnar and husband Steve of Dumas, Kim Roys and husband Curtis of Sunray; son Brian Schollenbarger of Dumas; sisters, Mary Jo Hall and husband Tommy of Fritch, Sally Johnston and husband Sam of Amarillo; grandchildren, Valerie, Daniel, Nathan, Lane, Heath, Alexandria, Daved and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorial may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029 or American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Rd 12A, Lubbock, TX 79424. The family will be as 512 Elm in Dumas.
