Ruby Gardenhire McNeil

Ruby Gardenhire McNeil, 85, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Dumas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of the church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Ruby McNeil was born August 29, 1924 in Wellman, Texas to Willie Lee and Mary Lee Gardenhire. On May 8, 1944 she married Howard McNeil in Amarillo. She was involved with all activities of the church and her gift was daily ministry to others. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Ruby had been a resident of Dumas since 1946 and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Gardenhire. Survivors include; her husband Howard of the home; daughters, Debra Tedford and husband, Larry of Olathe, KS, Majhaunta Edgmon and husband Johnny of Dumas and Camelia Elliott and husband James of Pilot, VA; brothers, Billy Gardenhire of Gardendale, Tx and Andy Gardenhire and wife Patricia of Memphis, Tx; grandchildren, Micah, Elizabeth and Olivia Tedford all of Olathe Ks, Malachi Elliott of Midland and Faith Elliott of Amarillo; extended family, Theresia Johns, Maria Molina and Breann Hargrove. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, PO Box 617, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 10830 McClary Rd. in Dumas.
