Sammy Lee Sambo Bonner, 43 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Sammy was born on April 20, 1971 in Dumas, TX to Harvey and Gracie Rios Bonner. He attended school in Sunray and Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. On June 3, 1993, he was united in marriage to Raquel Valenzuela in Dumas. Sammy had numerous hobbies he enjoyed racing, fishing, and camping as well as a good BBQ. Sammys greatest joy was his grandchildren whom he loved very much. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Raquel of the home his mother: Gracie Rios three daughters: Mariah Bonner of Austin, TX Cori and Chyenne Junebug Bonner both of the home two sons: Kevin Montoya and wife Abby of Dumas, TX, Colby Chapa and Sylvia of Amarillo, TX three brothers: Terry Bonner and wife Yesenia of Odessa, TX, Ray Bonner of Wichita, KS, Norman Bonner of Dallas, TX two sisters: Christy Galaviz and husband Rudy of Guymon, OK, Kim Saenz of Wichita, KS seven grandchildren and numerous other extended family members.
The family suggest memorials be to a favorite charity.
The family will be at 1402 S Meredith.
