Sandy Martin

Sandy Martin, 65, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Eldon Bailey, a family member officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM in Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, Kansas. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Sandy Martin was born August 26, 1944 in Liberal, Kansas. On February 14, 1985 she married Howard Martin at Beaver, Oklahoma. She was an inspector for the USDA and was a dealer for Longaberger baskets, pottery and dishes. After her retirement she worked for Creations by Mikee Jewelers. She collected teddy bears and Precious Moments and Fenton figurines. Sandy was raised in Liberal and lived in Woodward, Okla. before moving to Dumas in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Cruse. Survivors include; her husband, Howard of the home; sons, Michael Taylor and wife Katrina of Woodward, Okla, Terry Taylor and wife Rhonda of Fort Supply, Okla; daughter, Paula Butts and husband, Billy of Bristow, Okla; step-daughters, Vickie Griffith and husband, Robert and Brenda Meyer and husband, Doug all of Madison, Kans, Debra Bailey and husband Eldon of Olathe , Kans; step-son, Raymond Martin and wife, Sharon of Madison, Kans; sister, Sharon Carlson and husband, Doug of Colorado City, Co; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
