Sara B. Everett, 90, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 4, 2009 at First Street Church of Christ with Art Lynch, retired minister officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Sara B. Everett was born June 7, 1919 in Celina, Tennessee to Thomas and Maude Smith. On December 22, 1945 she married A.G. Tony Everett at Bowling Green, Kentucky. They settled north of Stratford where they farmed for many years. She moved to Dumas in 1961 and went to work for J. C. Pennys where she worked for 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed her daily walks and visits with her many friends and neighbors. Sara had been a resident of Dumas for 48 years and was a faithful member of the First Street Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and a great-great-granddaughter. Survivors include; daughter, Ann Harkrider and husband, Buck of Dumas; sister, Lattie Sartin of Edmonton, KY; two granddaughters, Toni Bain and husband David, Trenna White and husband Roger all of Dumas ; six great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial be to a favorite charity. The family will be at 1014 E. 8th in Dumas.
