Seth Byron Drew, 22 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2 o\x92clock in the afternoon on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Seth was born on June 22, 1992 to Andy Drew and Leslie Shaw in Wheatland, WY. He graduated from Dumas High School, where he was a member of the High School Band. Seth played the trumpet and attended the National Band Finals in Hawaii. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army as member of the 1st Calvary Unit where he was a Scout. Seth was a recipient of the following: Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon and NATO Medal.
Seth enjoyed kickboxing, watching MMA fighting, and playing music on his electric guitar as well as the acoustic at the church. He was known as always being the first one there if someone needed help. Seth was a loving son, uncle, brother, nephew and grandson. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother: Kathryn Kay Shaw.
Seth is survived by his parents: Charles and Leslie Jinkins of Dumas; brother: Michael Jinkins and wife Terra of Borger; two sisters: Brandy Blackfox and husband Reese of Tulsa and Kayla Drew of Ft. Carson, CO; grandparents: Shanty and Margot Jinkins of Dumas, Andy and Marilyn Drew of Wyoming, and Orville and Kathy Brando of South Dakota, Kathy Drew and John Anderson of Nebraska; biological father: Andy Drew and wife Tammy of Nebraska; five uncles: Emory Jinkins and wife Terri, Shanty Jinkins II and wife Babette, and Gerhardt Jinkins and wife Niki all of Dumas and Dwaine Shaw and wife Teresa of Colorado, Ed Drew and wife Shelley of Wyoming; three aunts: Yvette Fuerstenburger of Wyoming and Tina Ochs and husband Josh of Colorado, Susan Vaught and husband Justin of Nebraska; nieces: Lizzy Jinkins and nephews: Jaxon and Casey Jinkins and numerous cousins.
