Severa L. Garcia, 81 of Dumas passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Pastor Jesus Rivera and Reverend Jesse Garcia, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.Severa was born on November 7, 1940 in Del Rio, TX to Gonzalo and Maria de la Luz (Loza) Morales. She married Rev. Juan Garcia on March 13, 1963 in Lubbock, TX; he preceded her in death in 2007. Severa was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook and garden. Her faith, her church and her grandchildren were very important to her. Severa served the Lord. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista and will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son: James Garcia; brothers: Greg, Joe, Paul Loza; sister: Mary Trinidad.Severa is survived by her sons: Johnny Garcia and wife Mary of Dumas, Reverend Jesse Garcia and wife Melisa of Denver City, TX; daughter: Sylvia Garcia of Dumas, TX; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
