Sharon Ehli, 49 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Dumas. Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of Temple Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Sharon was born on October 15, 1962 in Guymon, Oklahoma to William and Laura Stump Leonard. She grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School in 1981. She went on to receive a Certificate in Business. Sharon was united in marriage to Mike Ehli on August 22, 1993 in Dumas. Sharon was employed as senior branch office administrator for Edward Jones Investments.
Sharon was an extremely caring and compassionate lady, and was loved by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family. They were her life, and she was very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known by all as Mimi. Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Buddy Leonard and Billy Leonard.
Sharon leaves behind her husband, Mike of the home two daughters, Lacrishia Miller and husband Matthew of Yukon, OK, and Brenda Ornelas and husband Philip of Dallas one son, Shon Harkrider of San Marcos three grandchildren, Keygen Kingston, Hannah Harkrider and Madison Miller her mother, Laura Leonard of Claude four sisters, Judy Larner of Dumas, Patty Brown of Mt. Pleasant, and Marry Leonard and Sue Deases Leonard, both of Fort Worth and eight brothers, Marlyn Leonard of Kentucky Butch Leonard of Thailand, Mike Leonard of Dothan, AL, Danny Leonard of San Antonio, Richard Leonard of Dumas, Terry Leonard of Washington, David Leonard of Colorado, and Gary Leonard of Waco.
The family suggests memorials be to the Alzheimers Association of West Texas, 415 W. 8th Street, Amarillo, TX 79101.
The family will be at 613 Pear in Dumas.
