Shawn Deeter

Shawn Deeter, 55 of Dumas passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church with John Owens, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. 

Shawn was born on August 3, 1969, in Sinora, Mexico to Joe and Carol (Franklin) Deeter. He grew up in Dumas where he graduated from Dumas High School. Shawn was a true cowboy and embraced everything that it embodies. He was also an excellent silver smith along with a bits and spurs maker. Welding was another hobby he had and excelled at. Above all, he was a great grandad who loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was of Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Brett Deeter.

Shawn is survived by his wife: Michele Deeter of the home; children: Tiffany Akers of Dallas, TX, Bradley Deeter of Dumas, TX, Bryson Pendley and wife Katelyn, Nick Rhoades, Hagan Deeter, and Chris Rhoades and wife Madyson; grandchildren: Brett, Keegen, Aisley, Knox, Stratton, Lily, Lainey, Dawson, McKinnley, Alexis, Katlyn, Logan; father: Joe Deeter and wife Teresa; mother: Carol Deeter; sister: Tracie Harrington and husband Twain of Duncan, AZ; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
