Sheila Lynn Yearwood

Sheila Mimi Yearwood, 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 8, 2011 in Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Richard Rhodes will be officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Sheila was born on October 7, 1938 in Wheeler, Texas to Gene Winston and Myrle Jean Wallis Patterson. She graduated from Wheeler High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1956. Sheila married Everett Yearwood on June 4, 1958 in Shamrock, Texas. They shared their life together in Dumas for over forty years. Sheila was employed as the cafeteria manager at Green Acres Elementary School in Dumas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. Sheila was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in by her parents and three brothers, Mickey, Pete and Donald Patterson. Sheila is survived by her husband Everett of the home two sons, Russ Yearwood and wife Carrie of Indiana, and Mark Yearwood and wife Kim of Lubbock two daughters, Janice Yearwood of Dumas and Cheryl Town and husband Todd of Amarillo one sister, Billie Moore of Miami five grandchildren, Michala, Tanner, Ashley, Chelsea and Bradley and two greatgrandchildren, Maddy and Emma. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. The family will be at 509 Bruce in Dumas.
