Shelly Lou Bittner, 61, of Amarillo, passed away early Saturday evening. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 oclock in the morning on Friday, July 24, at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Chris Fobbs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.
Shelly was born in Dumas, TX on May 31, 1959 to Elmer and Jerry Sue (Kemp) Crow. She attended Dumas schools and raised her family there. Shelly loved to be outdoors and looked forward each year to the familys "first of summer celebrations." There were many water balloon fights at these family cookouts along with lots of food. She loved to collect dolphins and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Shelly is also preceded in death by her ex-husband Nicky Bittner, and sisters: Cary Brooks and Pam Long.
Shelly is survived by her children: Bryan and wife Jerilyn Bittner of Andrews, TX, Melani and husband Jermy Galindo, Justin Bittner, and Chelsea and husband Michael Hemphill all of Amarillo, TX; brother: Steve Crow and wife Dutch Ruby of Hobart, OK; half-sister: Terry Hatfield of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren: Christian and Devlin Bittner of Andrews, TX, Jayci and Alec Galindo, Bailey and Kyler Hemphill all of Amarillo. She is also survived by many numerous other family and friends.
The family suggests with gratitude that in lieu of flowers; memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
