Sherry Nell Leonard

Sherry Nell "Sam" Leonard, 72 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o' clock in the morning on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Gruver Cemetery in Gruver, TX. The family will receive friends from 5-7 o' clock in the evening on Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Sherry was born April 8, 1943 in Spearman, Texas to Clyce and Virgie (Gill) Hughes. She married Richard Leonard in Dumas on June 1, 1991; he preceded her in death in 2014. Sherry worked in food service as a waitress at Albert\x92s Manor Restaurant in Dumas. She loved her dogs, working with people and she enjoyed going to Wal-Mart. Sherry was a member of Temple Baptist Church for 20 years and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard. She is survived by a sister: Jeanette Melton; a son: Michael Donoho; a daughter: Terri Adams, grandsons: Robert and Danial Donoho all of Dumas; and many great- nieces and nephews.
