Socorro Arevalo, 70, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010. Rosary will be said at 7:30 PM, Thursday, April 8, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday in the church with Fr. Juan Carlos Barragan as celebrant. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Socorro Arevalo was born January 7, 1940 in LaPinta, Mexico to Guillermo and Cruz Arevalo. On September 9, 1994 he married Bertha Martinez at Clayton, NM. He had been a resident of Dumas for 3 years and was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his son Jose Roberto Arevalo. Survivors include: his wife Bertha of the home daughters, Marta Patricia Arevalo, Ana Luisa Arevalo, Rosa Maria Arevalo all of Colorado son, Ramon Arevalo of Arizona stepsons, Armando Dominguez and wife Sophia, Edgardo Dominguez of Dumas stepdaughters, Olivia Dominguez and husband, Arturo of New Mexico, Adriana Dominguez of Dumas numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
