Soila M Chacon

Soila M Chacon, 71 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in the morning on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Soila was born on September 23, 1944 in Poth, TX to Francisco and Margarita Conde Rodriguez. On August 23, 1967, she was united in marriage to Guadalupe Chacon Jr. in Seminole TX. The couple would eventually move to Dumas where they made their home for the last 45 years. Soila loved to shop, garden and work in her yard. Above all she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Guadalupe Chacon Jr. and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Chacon Jr., of the home; children: Rosemary Castillo and Paz of Corpus Christi, Paul Chacon, Diana Chacon, both of Dumas, Francisco 'Frank' Chacon of Lamesa, and Felix Chacon of Dumas; brothers and sisters: Gloria Cordova of Crookston, MN, Angie Plasencio of Forney, TX, Thomas Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX, Lupe Rodriguez of Del Rio, TX, Marcial Rodriguez of Fort Stockton, TX, and Benito Rodriguez of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Ashley Gonzales, Jasmine Gonzales, Efrain Gonzales, Regina Gonzales, Nia Castillo, Samantha Castillo, Leslie Acosta, Austin Chacon, Ezekiel Chacon, Madison Chacon, Zayda Chacon, Raini Chacon, and Sabrina M; eight great grandchildren and numerous other extended family members.
