Stephen Hendrix Jennings

Stephen Hendrix Jennings, 62 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Stephen was born on August 28, 1953 in Dumas to Olen and Letha (Hendrix) Jennings. He grew up and attended schools in Dumas where he graduated from Dumas High School. During high school, Stephen played numerous sports and was on the State Championship Football Team. He went to work for Valero where he just retired with over 42 years of service. Stephen loved to hunt and fish and attended Trinity Fellowship Church. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Charlotte Hampton. He is survived by his son Stephen Keith Jennings of Amarillo; daughter: Dusty Jennings Peek and husband Randy of Fritch; grandchildren: Alyssa Morgan Jennings, Chase Peek, Bailey Hicks, Riley Peek, Camden Hicks, Harlon Eugene Hampton, Stephen William Hampton; sisters: Paula and Jerry Brookmole of Southmayd, TX, Kaye and Butch Turner of Dumas; brother: Mark and Kathy Jennings of Dumas and numerous other extended family members. The family will be at 114 Country Club Terrace.
