Syble E. Vaughn, 93 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 oclock in the morning on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Grady Burkhalter, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 oclock to 7 oclock in the evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Syble was born on October 31, 1927 to James and Loulottie (Watkins) McIntyre. She married her beloved husband, W.E. Vaughn on January 1, 1946 in DeQueen, AR; he preceded her in death on November 18, 1992. Syble was a dedicated homemaker who loved to fill her time with her favorite hobbies. She loved to sew, quilt, and crochet. Not only would Syble gift every grandchild a crocheted afghan for graduation she would also buy them their senior ring. She was also an excellent cook and was known for her chocolate gravy and biscuits and green chili casserole. Syble was a member of First Assembly of God and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband, W.E. she was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers, daughter: Doris Vaughn, son: Charles Vaughn, two grandchildren: Christopher Turner and Jimmy Vaughn. Syble is survived by her son: James E. Vaughn and wife Sherry of Texarkana, TX; daughter: Alice Kennedy of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Karen Martin and husband John, Brian Vaughn and wife Shonda, Kenneth Vaughn and wife Melissa, Arlene Finks and husband Stephen, Brandon Turner and wife Melanie, Joel Seibel and wife Rachel; and numerous great-grandchildren.
