Sylvia Garcia, 54 of Dumas passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Primer Iglesia Bautista with Pastor Jesus Rivera and Reverend Jessie Garcia, officiating Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.Sylvia was born on January 15, 1967 in Lubbock, TX to Reverend Juan Garcia and Severa (Loza) Garcia. She had lived in Dumas for over 50 years and a graduate of Dumas High School in 1985. Sylvia worked as a teacher’s assistant at Greenacres School. She was very much a people’s person. She loved everyone she met and was affectionately call “mom” by numerous people. Sylvia also loved to sing. She was a member of Primer Iglesia Bautista and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: James.Sylvia is survived by her children: Myriah Sanders, Michael Joe Mojica, Erica Handy, Ashley Boyett and husband Travis all of Dumas, Susan Brenneman of Michigan, and Jasper Stevens of Borger, TX; grandchildren: Lily, Lexi, Kendall, Koda, Everett; great-grandchildren: Karter; brothers: Johnny Garcia and wife Mary of Dumas, TX and Reverend Jesse Garcia and wife Melisa of Denver City, TX.
