TeJay was born on May 27, 1987, in Amarillo, TX to Kennith and Shannon Woolsey Adams. He grew up in Canyon and graduated from Canyon High School in 2005. After graduation, Tejay honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp for 5 years as an Osprey Crewchief; a service that Tejay was very proud of. Tejay was the founder of Stand Against Suicide, a program that brings awareness to suicide and has helped countless individuals. Family was very important to TeJay and he was an excellent father to not only his own children, but the children of many. TeJay had just recently found the love of his life, Michala, and the couple were married on November 10, 2021, a fitting date considering it is the birthday of the Marine Corp. TeJay gave so much to so many people and his time on this earth was way too short.
TeJay was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Anna Marie Hoffman Adams and Jean Woolsey; brother: Tyson Adams.
Tejay is survived by his wife, Michala Adams of the home; children: Tallis Adams, Vina Adams, Mario Hermosillo, Emma Yearwood, Brigham Berend and Charlie Berend; father: Kennith Adams of Canyon, TX; mother: Shannon Adams of Amarillo, TX; grandfather: LaDean Adams of Canyon, TX; numerous other extended family members and friends.
The family suggests with gratitude that memorials be made to Thomas E Creek VA Medical Center, Suicide Prevention Program, 6010 W Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo TX 79106.
