Terry Burnett

Terry Burnett, 75 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Terry was born on August 26, 1948 in California to Alvin and Pearl (Turner) Burnett. He grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School.  He went to work for L. B. McDaniel Concrete and later as an appliance repairman.  He eventually opened his own business, Terry Burnett appliance repairs.  Terry enjoyed reading the almanac every year, movies and video games.  He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  He was of Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Alvin Burnett; sister: Patty Skaggs.

Terry is survived by his nephews: Jeff Burnett and wife JoAnn of Amarillo, TX and Jarrod Burnett of Dumas, TX; great-nephews and nieces: Zack Burnett, Scott, Larry, and Ron Thomas, Kaitlin Burnett, Keira Burnett; brother: Larry Burnett; sister-in-law: Ida Burnett both of Dumas, TX.
