Troy Alan Smith, 59, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Stinnett.  Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Beeson-Morrison Funeral Directors in Dumas, and at First Baptist Church of Stinnett from 6-8 pm on Monday, December 19, 2022.  In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 West Bryn Mawr Ave. Ste 550, Chicago, Illinois, 60631.

Troy was born August 19, 1963, in Pampa, Texas to Roger Smith and Nelda Crutchfield Smith. He married Laura Wilson on August 12, 1983, in Stinnett. Troy worked for West Texas Air Conditioning and Heating. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stinnett. Troy had a deep passion for spreading the gospel through his many community works at the church and to everyone he would meet. In addition to leading music at church, and teaching Sunday school, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going metal detecting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nelda Smith; and sister, Lisa Kay Smith.

Survivors include his father, Roger Smith of Stinnett; wife, Laura of Dumas; sons, Chris Smith and wife Jodee of Fritch, Caleb Smith and wife Cara of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Jasper, Bailey, Addie; brother, Dale Smith of Maui, Hawaii; sister, Chanté Sims and husband Rusty of Stinnett; brothers-in-law, Kelly Wilson and wife Misty of Weatherford; Frank Wilson and wife Suzi of Conroe, Texas; nephew, Logan Sims of Stinnett; nieces, Lisa Hall and husband Kayle of Stinnett, Mackenzie Parkhill and husband Clint of Mineral Wells, Mollie Waller and husband Blaize of Des Moines, Iowa, Cassie Wilson of Conroe; and a host of extended family.
