Valda D. Foyil

Valda D. Foyil, 88, of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas with Tom Armstrong officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Valda was born on March 9, 1923 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Guy and Rena Six. She married John F. Foyil in Dumas. He preceded her in death after thirtyfive years of marriage. Valda was a long time resident of the Dumas community. She worked in the housekeeping industry until her retirement. She was a member of Ninth and Bliss Church of Christ. She was strong in her faith, and loved attending church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Foyil, her parents, Guy and Rena Six, and one brother, Carlton Six. Valda is survived by one son, James Ronald Love of Dumas three daughters, Linda L. Love and Rena Kay Harris of Dumas, and Cynthia JoAnn Henlsey of Gainsville, Texas seven grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 203 N. Meredith in Dumas.
