Velita Scroggins Bailie

Velita Scroggins Bailie, 51, formerly of Dumas, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in San Angelo, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Velita Scroggins Bailie was born October 27, 1957 in Dumas, Texas to Clyde and Darvella Scroggins. She attended Dumas schools. She married Richard Havelock-Bailie, the love of her life. Velita was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include; her loving husband, Richard of the home; daughter, Amber Timm and husband Nathan of San Angelo; son, Shannon Thrower and wife Leslee of Sterling City; sister, Darlene Bailey of Amarillo; brothers, Roger Scroggins and wife Pam, of Dumas, Marlon Scroggins and wife, Edwina of Yellville, AR; and five grandchildren. The family will be at 131 N. El Paso in Dumas.
