Victor Hugo Gonzalez, 42, of Dumas, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018. Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Victor was born July 6, 1975 in Mexico City, Mexico to Jose and Alicia (Garcia) Gonzalez. He spent most of his life in Dumas and was employed by JBS. Victor married Maria (Gonzalez) in 2017 and the couple made their home in Dumas. Victor was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and resisted all who may challenge his support. He loved eating tacos from Marybel's Taco Truck in Amarillo. Victor also collected baseball cards and football player figurines. His most enjoyable hobby was to spend time with his family and being involved in his children's lives. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dumas and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Victor is preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Gonzalez and his grandparents Jose and Alicia Gonzalez.
Victor is survived by his wife Maria of the home; son: Xavier Gonzalez of Dumas; daughters: Evangeline Gonzalez of Dumas and Yanely Gonzalez of Dallas, TX; son: Ezekiel Gonzalez (Pachicano) of Taylor, TX; parents: Jose and stepmother Olivia Gonzalez of Los Angeles, CA; 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as a grandchild on the way.
