Victor Manuel Mares

Victor Manuel Mares, 54 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 oclock in the afternoon on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Betel AD with Luis Trujillo, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Victor was born on February 16, 1966 to Victor and Herlinda (Arenivar) Mares in Dumas, TX. He was employed at Dumas High School as a custodian for 7 years and worked part-time at Flowers Etc. Victor will be remembered for his generous and caring heart. He adored his family and spent his life caring for and looking after his mother and siblings. He was always very courteous and polite to everyone he met. Fewer things made him happier than spending time outside on the ranch. Victor was a member of Betel AD and he will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Victor Mares in 2001; aunts: Rosa Trejo and Velia Salinas; uncle: Rev. Samuel Mares. Victor is survived by his mother, Herlinda Mares of Dumas, TX; sister: Rosa Mares and husband Rick Spencer of Dumas, TX; brothers: Daniel Mares and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, TX, Joseph Mares and wife Kim of Montgomery, TX, and Steve Mares of Dumas, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
