Victorino Duarte Monarrez, 65 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012. The Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church in Dumas. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church with Father Maria Joseph Pudhota as celebrant. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Victorino was born on November 8, 1946 in Durango, Mexico to Manuel and Catalina Duarte Monarrez. He has been a resident of the Dumas community for eight years and was employed at JBS Swift. He was a member of Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church.
Victorino was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He worked very hard to provide for his family. He had a fun loving personality, and was known as a jokester. Victorino will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Victorino leaves behind two sons, Max Amador Monarrez, and Anibal Amador Monarrez, both of Dumas three daughters, Cathy Jane Martinez, and Amanda Chavarria husband Alonzo, all of Amarillo, and Amber Victoria Garcia and husband Miguel of Dumas ten grandchildren, Samantha Marie Monarrez, Melissa Nichole Monarrez, Thomas Edward Monarrez, Patricia Ann Monarrez, Felicia Danielle Martinez, Selena Ebony Martinez, Damion Omar Murga, Ricardo Eduardo Martinez, Jr., Jaynelyn Nazalia Chavarria, and Aaliyah Makayla Garcia two sisters, Martina Monarrez and Eligia Monarrez Sanchez and two brothers, Cesario Monarrez and Toribio Monarrez.
The family will be at 915 Binkley in Dumas.
