Wallace Glenn Brooks, Sr.

Wallace Glenn Wally Brooks, Sr, 48, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 28, 2009 at First Street Church of Christ with Art Lynch and Brent Clark officiating. Speaker will be Tim Pilgrim. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Wallace Glenn Wally Brooks, Sr. was born October 31, 1960 in Dumas, Texas to Ray and Lola Jean Brooks. On September 22, 2009 he married Jan Holt in Dumas. He had worked for Dumas Lumber Co. and loved gardening. Wally was a devoted father and grandfather and had been a resident of Dumas all of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother Lola Jean Brooks. Survivors include; his wife, Jan of the home; daughters, Sandra Rice and husband, Michael of Weatherford, Stephannie Brooks of Odessa, Stacey Brumley of Silsbee; sons, Scotty Nichols, Billy Brooks and wife, Summer, Kennith Bugsy Brooks all of Dumas, Wally Brooks Jr. and wife, Sarah of Weatherford; his father, Ray Brooks of Amarillo; sisters, Phyllis Carpenter of Dumas, Pam Jones of Oklahoma, Kathy Helen Wiggin of Amarillo, Paula LaJeune of Houston; and 15 grandchildren. The family will be at 1111 S. Meredith in Dumas.
