Walter Gordon Lewis

Walter Gordon Lewis, 51, formerly of Dumas, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006, in Oklahoma City. Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2006, at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Stratford with Fred Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Stratford Cemetery. Mr. Lewis was born January 5, 1955, in Plainview, TX, to Walter Duke and Eva Jewel Nunley Lewis. He attended Olton schools and was a graduate of Hartley High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stratford since 1979 and was a customer service representative in the telecommunications industry. He was preceded in death by his father Walter W.D. Lewis. He is survived by his mother, Jewel Lewis of Noble, OK; one brother, Keith and Rhonda Lewis of Clayton, NM; and two sisters, Linda and Byron Massengale of Lakewood, CO and Kathy and Donnie Sarratt of Norman, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, Keitha Lewis, Nicklas Lewis, Miguel Gutierrez, Anthony Gutierrez, Angela Stanton, Christopher Gutierrez, Kamber Sherrod, Scotty Sherrod and Jaysie Sherrod.
