Walter H. Wilson

Walter H. Wilson, 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at his home in Dumas. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Bible Baptist Church in Dumas. Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor of the church will be officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Walter was born on September 21, 1939 in Rankin, Oklahoma to Elbert Red and Eva Wilson. He attended Bob Jones University and Baptist Bible College. He was employed by the Department of Health Human Services with the State of Missouri, and later the State of New Mexico until his retirement. Walter was a long time resident of the Dumas community. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, where he actively served. He loved to travel and researching family genealogy. He was a beloved and devoted son, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents. Walter is survived by one son, William Virgil Wilson of Terryville, CT one daughter, Karen Annette Wichmann of Springfield, MO six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. The family suggests memorials be sent to Bible Baptist Church, Building Fund, 222 W. 1st, Dumas, TX 79029.
