Wanda Faye Graham, 74, formerly of Cactus, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with her son, Gary Carter officiating. Her wishes were to be cremated. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Wanda Graham was born May 25, 1934 in Plainview, Texas. She moved to Amarillo in 1956, where she started working for American National Insurance. She spent many successful years traveling the Panhandle and eventually found herself in Dumas in 1980. While working in Dumas she met Leon Graham who was mayor of Cactus and they married in 1982. They worked together in many different business ventures, including the Cactus Grocery and Tri-County Bail Bonds. Wanda took great pleasure in helping the children of her community. Whenever anyone needed assistance, she was always there to offer a helping hand. She was a wonderful neighbor to the community of Cactus and was presented with the Good Neighbor Award by the Dumas Moore County Chamber of Commerce in March 2007. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Graham in 2006 and her daughter, Susan K. Brock in 2004.
Survivors include her son, Gary Carter and fiance Nikki Reed of Amarillo; brother, Wendell Reeder of Paris, TX; sister Sue Thurmon of Lubbock; granddaughter, Linda Rodriguez and husband Johnny of Lubbock; great-grandsons, Jay and Calvin Rodriguez; and her beloved pet, Princess.

There will be a family visitation from 4 to 6 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel.
