Wayne Lavake

Wayne Lavake, 80, of Stratford passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Graveside services will be held at a later date under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. 

Wayne was born on February 24, 1942 in Stratford, TX to Herman “Cotton” Lavake and Julia Aguirre Lavake.

Wayne graduated from Stratford High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from West Texas State University. After earning his degree, he served his country through the United States Army.  Upon returning home, he worked for the Texas Highway Department until retirement.  
Wayne enjoyed vacationing in the mountains, fishing, pheasant hunting, watching various sports and westerns, reading, and spending time with friends.  
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, Dwayne Lavake, and nephew, Jeremy Lavake.  

Survivors include his niece, Darla Mastrovich and her husband, John, great-niece Allison Mastrovich, great-nephew, David Mastrovich, and sister- in- law, Pat Lavake as well as several cousins.
