Wendolyn “Sisty” Vincent, 90 of Stratford, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, November 11, 2022, at First United Methodist Church Stratford Tx. with Pastor Robert Burke officiating. Interment will follow at Stratford Cemetery. Mrs. Vincent will be available for viewing on Thursday from 12 o’clock in the afternoon to 8 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home in Stratford. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Sisty was born on September 12, 1932, to James Wendell and Lena “Pete” (Harrell) Flores in Stratford, TX. She grew up in Stratford and graduated from Stratford High School. While attending WTSU she met Jack Vincent and married in October 1952 in Stratford where they made their home and raised their daughters. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, taught swimming lessons, bible school and was a 4H Horse club Leader.
Sisty had a great love of horses and had show horses and running quarter horses. She also enjoyed painting and sculpting in her younger years. She was a lifelong resident of Stratford and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sisty is survived by her loving husband, Jack of the home; daughters: Mickie Cottle and husband Dennis, April Schmehr and husband Ron, Toni Vincent and fiancé Jerry Keith all of Amarillo, TX; brother: Joe Pete Flores and wife Chris of Stratford, TX; grandchildren: Cory Cottle and wife Michelle, Lena Luck and husband Joe, Wes Luther and wife Kali, Kaleb Watson, Jennifer DeAnda and Chris Schmehr along with 9 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
