Wilma M. Nelson

Wilma M. Nelson, 78 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Ulrey, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Wilma was born on September 25, 1939 in Stewart, OK to Louis and Linnie (Cole) Dyer. Wilma enjoyed gardening, farming and 'strong willed.' She was of Christian faith and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Ray Putman and James Elliott; brother: Richard Cole; sister: Debbie Cole; daughter: Carol Jones; sons: Louis Putman, Bobby Cole and Jimmy Stewart; grandson: Donnie Jones; great-granddaughter: Jamie Hogue. Wilma is survived by her children: Marilyn Hardwick and husband Randall of Dumas, Tammy Shields and husband Michael of Dumas, Robert Stewart and wife Ginny of New York, and Marty Scott of Dumas; sister: Mabel Davis of OK; brothers: Bob Cole of OK, Fred Cole of Amarillo, and Gene Cole of Dallas; numerous grandchildren.
