Zakery David McGuire

Zakery David McGuire, 12 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.  Memorial services will be held at 10 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Temple Baptist Church with Chris Fobbs officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors.

Zakery was born on August 12, 2009, in Dumas, TX to Tiana McGuire and later to be adopted by his father, Daniel Kerns. 

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and his grandmothers, Carolyn and Kela, his grandmother Judy and his cousin Luke Sachitano.

Zak, Zak Attack or the Great Zakaroni was a goofball.   When you were hurting, he wanted to comfort you; if you were working, he wanted to help you.  He wanted to be a part of it all.  He was an amazingly intelligent child with and early understanding of mechanical and electrical workings.  He knew all the names and could explain all the differences of every dinosaur.  He loved his family, his dogs, his ducks and his Legos, we can’t leave out his Legos.  He enjoyed ATV’s, bikes and going fast.  Zak attended Dumas Intermediate School and was getting ready for Junior High.

Zak is survived by his parents, Tiana McGuire and Daniel Kerns and wife Allison; brother, Skyler and sister Kaidence, his grandfathers: David McGuire, Jon Kerns and James Costner great grandfather: Floyd Tipton, his uncles: Shane Sachitano and Sean Carother; his aunt Alexis Farris, his cousin: Seraphine Carothers; great aunts, uncles and many more.
